Ultrasound imaging, also know as ultrasound screening or sonography, is a way of obtaining an inside view of the human body using high frequency sound waves. No x-rays are involved in the ultrasound scanning technique.
Radiography involves using a small amount of x-ray energy to produce images of the body.
Lung CA Screening
year of smoking can cause lung cance a screening could save your life
Breast ultrasound for Dense Breast
It looks at dense breast tissue in another way. Normal breast tissue appears white on a mammogram but unfortunately so do may cancers. With ultrasound, some cancers are much more visible in patients with dense breast. Screening breast ultrasound will take between 15-30 minutes to perform.
Spider veins - know in the medical world as telangiectasias - are small, thin veins that lie close to the surface of the skin. Although these super-fine veins are connected with the larger venous system, they are not an essential part of it.
Endovascular Laser Vein Treatment
Clinical data with up to 5 years of follow-up show success rates of 93-98%. This is much higher than surgical ligation and stripping. It is predicted that, based on its superior efficacy and lower morbidity, endovenous laser treatment will soon become the new ‘gold standard’.
Dr. Lee is now offering patients expanded pain management injections and services. He received his medical degree with honors (AOA) from the Albert Einstein College of Medicine in New York. He continued his training at the University of California, San Francisco, where he was also chief resident, followed by a fellowship at the University of California, San Diego.
DXA (Dual energy x-ray absorptiometry) uses a very low amount of x-ray energy to assess a patient’s bone density levels. It is a painless, non-invasive procedure. No needles, no contrast agents, and just a few preparations are necessary in order to have the test.
